Expert Personal Injury Lawyers
Standing up for Everyday People
We're the lawyers who stand firmly on the side of everyday people.
“We will fight, every day, for people who have been wronged, and for people in need. We will fight for fairness and against injustice. We will do what’s right.”
Expertise, Reliability and Success
Firm lawyers have a long-standing reputation for excellence in the practice of personal injury law. That reputation is built on a solid foundation of consistent performance over time and remarkable success representing ordinary people in personal injury cases.
Winning Despite the Odds...
Hall Law promotes a fair and open court system in which the jurors are told the whole truth about what is going on in the case. Unfortunately, the current court system is not as transparent as one might hope, and this can create unfairness.
In trial the deck is often stacked in favor of the defense because jurors are given only part of the story. For example, in a car-crash case the defense is typically allowed to hide the existence of insurance from the jury. This means:
1. The fact that a defendant has insurance to cover the verdict is almost always kept secret from the jury.
2. The fact that the defendant's lawyer and legal expenses are paid for by the defendant's insurance company is typically kept secret from the jury.
3. The fact that the defendant's expert doctor is paid for by the defendant's insurance company, and that such doctors regularly testify over and over again for the same insurance companies in similar cases, is information that is typically kept secret from the jury.
4. The fact that the verdict will be heavily reduced by attorneys fees, by separate costs of litigation (e.g. expert fees), and by repayment of medical expenses, is information typically kept secret from the jury.
So, how do we win despite these disadvantages..? It may sound "old-school," but the reality is we win with honesty... Good old fashioned telling the truth... Seriously.
There is power in the truth. And, if you're honest with the jury and really lay it out for them, we find they'll reward you for your honesty. If you sign up with us, all you do is tell the truth, and we do the rest...

How the Process Works
Personal injury law is about fairness. Defendants should be held accountable when their wrongful conduct has caused injury. And, when people from the community are injured, they should be treated fairly under the law. Our attorneys are experts at making sure our clients receive a, full, fair and just result.
Obtaining fair compensation in a personal injury matter typically requires negotiation and/or litigation. After an injury occurs, defendants and their insurance companies will often do everything they can to avoid paying fair compensation for the injuries they have caused. They know who is represented and who is not, and they know which law firms are willing to go to trial for their clients and which are not. Facing the defense alone and without the help of an expert legal team is perilous.
If a case cannot be resolved through negotiation, our lawyers have the experience and expertise to try your case before a jury of your peers. Our attorneys guide you through the twists and turns of the legal process and make sure at-fault defendants meet their responsibility by paying full, fair compensation.
Because of the firm's consistent and high quality work, clients have given our personal injury lawyers Martindale.com's and Lawyers.com's preeminent 5.0 out of 5 client rating. The preeminent client rating is based on measures of responsiveness, quality of service, and value. It is the highest possible client rating for a personal injury lawyer.
Peer Review Ratings
As a result of our work representing injured people over the years, firm lawyers have benefited from the recognition and respect of our peers in the legal community. Mike Hall Sr. holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for both legal ability and professional ethics. Mike has been selected by his peers in the legal community as a "Leading Minnesota Attorney," a distinction received by less than 5% of all Minnesota lawyers. Mike was named a Super Lawyer by Twin Cities Business Monthly in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.
In 2013 Michael Hall, III was named one of the top 100 litigation lawyers in the state of Minnesota. This is a distinction conferred by the American Society of Legal Advocates. Selection to the top 100 is based on measures of demonstrated legal achievement. In addition, Michael has been rated a Rising Star by Superlawyers.com. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to this list.
Types of Cases - Big and Small
Our personal injury lawyers spend much of their time working on cases that are catastrophic in nature, involving substantial personal injury and economic loss. Indeed, Hall Law is credited with having secured substantial verdicts around the state. Still, our lawyers also make it a point to review smaller injury cases too. If, in reviewing a smaller case we determine that a member of the public has been injured by a defendant's reckless conduct, and is then being treated unfairly, we will often take the time to help. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly, regardless of whether their injury keeps them out of work for a just a few months as opposed to a few years.
With decades of experience in personal injury litigation, our attorneys have a record of consistent, reliable, success on behalf of our clients. Our lead litigators are highly qualified trial attorneys with experience in all manner of personal injury cases, and a particular focus on catastrophic injury, death and abuse cases. Hall Law is equipped to handle civil cases from the pre-suit stage through all phases of litigation, including appeal. As a result of our firm’s strong reputation in the personal injury field, many of our injury clients come to us by referral from lawyers who practice in other areas.
Like most people, we want our streets, and towns kept safe for our families, and loved-ones. As local lawyers with local roots, we'll keep working to keep our communities healthy and safe, and to keep our courts fair for people in need.
If you have questions about a personal injury case, getting advice is free. Call 1-800-292-1979 to speak directly with a member of our legal team, or to set up an in-person appointement at one of our Minneapolis, Edina or St. Cloud locations.

The verdict results referenced in our materials represent the total amount of damages set forth on the jury's verdict form. Verdicts obtained can often result in actual monetary recoveries that are higher or lower than the amount set forth on the verdict form due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the addition of items such as statutory interest, the taxation of costs and disbursements, additur (upward adjustment of the verdict by the trial court), remittitur (downward adjustment of the verdict by the trial court). Following trial, verdicts can be challenged, appealed, overturned, reversed, remanded, vacated and/or affirmed. Unless otherwise stated, the verdicts referenced on this website, and in other firm materials, do not account for any post-trial changes to the original verdict. Judgments can often result in actual monetary recoveries that are different than the amount set forth in the judgment due to a variety of factors including, but not limited to, collectability issues on the part of the judgment debtor and/or the adequacy of applicable insurance coverage.
Based on our knowledge as of February 6, 2015 Michael Hall III’s jury verdicts of $798,000.00 and $865,660.00 appear to stand out as the top two cases in their category. That is, in the category of car accident cases which primarily involve facet joint injuries that have been clinically diagnosed, and then treated via percutaneous nerve ablation, these appear to be the top two such verdicts in Minnesota state history.
